The one-day workshop ‘Stop Grooming and Keeping Children Safe’ was conducted at the Peace Culture Foundation on Sunday 30 June 2024 with 25 participants. A few flew down from Bangkok and some travelled from nearby provinces like Lamphun, Lampang, Chiang Rai. Most are parents, teachers, child caregivers from shelter homes. Among them are four Catholic sisters. They learned about the prevalence of the problem, the severity of the consequences on children’s lives and their families, and how to detect signs of grooming behavior patterns. Participants left with a strong commitment to spread the knowledge and apply what they learn in their work and their families.

Above is Dr. Sombat Tapanya’s report on his last workshop for Rotary Year 2023-2024. There are a couple of comments that I would like to make. Support for these types of events is exactly why TRAGAST exists. A special thank you to Khun Ohm and others who work tirelessly without pay or even recognition to make these workshops possible.
